THE OLDER YEARS

They are the Golden years I have been told!
They were for my parents anyway.
I dream of that.
The Companionship and the sharing.
Camping; fishing; Dancing and Dining.
Walking hand in hand through the rest of our life's.
Exploring the common interests.
No more worries.
Mortgage paid; money from the Pension.
Aah! The Bliss of it all.
HA. What a Laugh! Pure Fantasy in this spendfrith Generation
We should of been like Squirrels saving for a rainy day.
But no! A $800 wrist watch bought at a bargain for $600;
$3000 racing bike gone to rust
$600 cell phone. To hell with the expense.
We can't afford to retire.
I will have to work until I'm 70 years old.
I deserve better than that.
I have work straight through for 50 odd years
I'm tired of trying to get by.
There is something better in life than this.
At sixty-five years of age. Money from the government
I deserve it.
A greener pasture calls.
I will go dancing and walking alone.
But Healthier and Happier
And Burden free.
