OUR SAVIOUR

Our Saviour.
(part three)

Jesus did work many wonders on man.
The Blind saw, the deaf and dumb talked.
The dead arose and the Devils exorcised.
Lepers were healed and the cripples walked.

Salome, the daughter of Herodias
Danced for John's bearded head.
Seven veils she wore when she wiggled
Till King Herod declared John dead.

Jesus was born to love and forgive.
Fishermen, tax gathers, prostitutes came.
Then Jesus made disciples of them all
And cleansed them in God's name.

OUR SAVIOUR.

OUR SAVIOUR.
(This poem is written in many verses to tell the story of Christ)
(Part one)
A star over the town of Bethlehem
Appeared to be burning and bright.
It guided the three Kings of the East
The way to a manger that dark night.

Gifts of Myrrh, Incense and Gold
Bought with them for Peace and Love
For born this day of Christmas was
the small son of God from up above

Surrounded by animals and their young
In a wooden manger filled with straw
Sat Mary, Joseph and the Babe who
Was born to instruct us in God's law.
